The Social Protection Board continues its objective of contributing to public health, welfare and quality of life of populations in poverty and social vulnerability through the administration of Lotteries, Gaming and provision of services in the Camposantos, as evidenced after the delivery recently made in 2 hospitals, 2 day centers and cancer care programs, aid amounting to 1 billion colones.
"The Social Protection Board is an important part of the economic reactivation of Costa Rica. We have made five deliveries in the last few weeks, and they alone represent more than 1 billion colones granted to social causes. Thank you Costa Rica, because by acquiring the products of the Social Protection Board you are helping to do good", said Esmeralda Britton González, President of the Social Protection Board.
The Guápiles Hospital received a contribution from the JPS, with an investment of more than 511 million colones.

The elderly population in Cahuita and Grecia was impacted with these contributions, the Social Protection Board delivered exactly 9 million 744 thousand colones to the Pro Elderly Association in Cahuita, allowing the acquisition of 32 arm chairs, 30 plastic chairs, 8 tables, 2 folding wheelchairs, 1 air conditioner, equipment for physical therapy and includes a series of supplies to promote the health of the people of this center, additionally, in Grecia the new facilities of a multipurpose room valued at more than 123 million colones were delivered.
The institution helped the Fundación Pro Clínica del Dolor y Cuidados Paliativos in Palmares by providing a vehicle valued at more than 20 million colones so that they can make home visits and transport oncologic and non-oncologic patients.
